The Dandy Project began at a kitchen table in 2021 with one question: what do new parents need that they're afraid to ask for? The answer turned into a movement of donors, volunteers and community partners who refuse to let any child go without.
We began the way most good things do — small, local, and a little stubborn. A handful of friends realized that families in our county were quietly running out of formula between paychecks, and that no single agency had the bandwidth to fix it alone.
So we became the connective tissue. We sourced essentials in bulk, organized volunteers to pack and deliver, and built relationships with the clinics and shelters who see families on their hardest days.
Today, that table has grown into a network of dozens of partner agencies, hundreds of volunteers, and thousands of children whose first months were steadier because someone they'll never meet decided to show up.
